| Galyang Multiple Campus |
Galyang Multiple Campus is a
community based campus established in 2060 B.S. with the help of local
people and organizations, at Galyang bazaar of Jagatradevi VDC-8,
Syangja District. In its beginning phase, the campus launched Bachelor
Level programs in the Faculty of Education and Management (B.ED. &
BBS) by taking the affiliation from Tribhuvan University. This campus
enhanced its program and added the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in
2065 B.S. and Masters of Education Program in 2067 B.S. being affiliated
to the same University.
The campus has been running with
the economic support of the governmental and non- governmental
organizations and local people of this area. The student’s pay is also
the economic source. The government of Nepal provides nominal economic
support to the campus.
The campus has bought a plot of
land (about 25 ropani) by the help of above mentioned parties. The
Government of India provided a grant for building the campus building as
its main physical infrastructure and the construction of the building
with 30 rooms has been completed.
About 550 students are
continuing their study at this campus as regular students this year.
Most of the students of this campus are women, Dalits, from economically
disadvantaged families and ethnic minority groups. The governmental and
non-governmental organizations and people of this locality are
providing economic, physical, mental and intellectual support for the
betterment of this campus and it has been successfully achieving what it
wants from them so far. Crossing different ups and downs successfully,
the campus is in the continuous journey of achieving its goal of
providing quality education to make the students able to compete in the
global competitive market of present era and it is hoped that this
campus will be established as the main educational milieu of this area
in near future.
